Grate the beetroot and mix with the flour, baking powder and salt. Add the grated cheese and thoroughly mix the batter.
Assembly: Form the fritters with two spoons. Fry in not very hot oil (160ºC), until lightly golden brown.
Notes: Once cold, they can be heated quickly in the oven.
Tip: They can be served with bitter orange marmalade and a few beetroot dice as decoration.
