Method: Melt the butter a little in the microwave. Cut the cheese into small pieces. Blend the cheese, butter, salt and egg. Add the flour and mix until you get a paste. Make a ball and leave to stand for about 30 minutes. Roll out the dough to a thickness of about 5 mm. Cut out the crackers using a mould or knife. Bake for about 30 minutes at 160ºC. They should be crunchy but not golden brown.
Notes: Once cold, keep the biscuits in an airtight glass jar.
Tip: You can make other shapes like long canes, circles, squares, diamonds, etc.
