Cut the cheese into thin slices. Peel the asparagus and cut in half lengthways. Cook the asparagus in a pan or griddle with a little oil over a medium heat for about 3-4 minutes. Cut the bread, toast it and brush with olive oil. Place the cheese on the base with the hot asparagus and Iberian ham on top. Cover the sandwich.
Notes
You can use frozen asparagus which do not need to be peeled and cook quicker in the pan.
