1. What are cookies and why do we use them on the Iberconseil website?

A cookie is a small piece of data that is downloaded to the user’s device when accessing certain web pages to store and retrieve information about the browsing activity carried out on that device.

2. ¿What kind of cookies does the Iberconseil website use?

There are two main types of cookies: session or persistent. The first kind expire when the user closes the browser. The second type remain for as long as they fulfil their purpose (e.g. so that the user can be identified by Iberconseil’s websites and services) or until they are manually deleted.

Users can delete this cookie and revoke access to the website through social media sites or third-party identification systems by updating their preferences in the social media site specified.

· Analytical cookies: Every time a User visits a Website or Service, a tool from an external provider (Google Analytics or similar) generates an analytical cookie on the user’s device. This cookie, which is only generated during the visit, will be used in future visits to Iberconseil to identify the visitor anonymously. The main purposes are the following:

  • To enable the anonymous identification of the users browsing through the ‘Cookie’ (it identifies browsers and devices, not people) and therefore an approximate count of visitor numbers and trends over time.
  • To anonymously identify the most visited, and therefore most attractive, content for users.
  • To find out if the user who is accessing is new or repeating a visit.
